1. Salt Paste

• Make a thin paste of salt and cold water.
• Apply the salt paste on dried blood stains and leave it for 3-5 minutes. 
• After 5 minutes, start blotting the stain with a dry towel or a rag until the stain disappears.
• Repeat if needed. 

2. Dish Soap

• Take a bowl and add a tablespoon of dish soap with 2 cups of cold water. 
• Apply this dish soap solution to the blood stain.
• Now blot this stain with a dry and clean cloth or a towel. You have to repeat the process until the blood spot disappears.
• Take a sponge dipped in cold water and cleaned the blood stain area with the sponge. 
• Use a dry clean rag to blot it dry. You can also vacuum your carpet with a wet vac. 

3. Ammonia

Always use ammonia in a 1:4 ratio with water. Ammonia can damage wool and silky carpets; test on a hidden spot before using.

• Take one tablespoon of ammonia and half a cup of water. Mix it well.
• Damp a sponge with the solution and blot the dried stain until it disappears.
• Use another sponge to apply clean cold water to the stained area. 
• Blot it to remove the stain completely. Use a dry towel or cloth to dry the targeted area and vacuum it up. 

4. Hydrogen Peroxide

Test hydrogen peroxide on a hidden spot on your carpet, and never use it on colored carpets.

• Take a cotton swab and dip it into the hydrogen peroxide. Apply this swab onto the dried blood stains to disappear them. 
• Soak the stain with the cotton swab for about an hour. 
• After an hour, rinse the area using a clean wet cloth. 
• Allow the carpet to air dry or vacuum it up afterward. 

5. Baking Soda and White Vinegar

• Take a bowl and add two cups of warm water, two cups of white vinegar, and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Mix all these ingredients well and add the solution into a spray bottle.
• Spray the solution on the dried blood stains and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. 

• Use a clean and damp cotton cloth to blot the carpet. 
• Allow the treated area to dry before using the carpet.
